When HIV is under control, you can focus on healthy aging. This includes regular exercise and a healthy diet, which may be able to help lessen excess VAT and help lower blood fats (ie, cholesterol).
However, VAT is a hard fat in more ways than one: people who are treated for HIV may find it difficult to manage excess VAT with diet and exercise alone.
